Actually, I was able to finish my old saved games anyway, since the pollution overload problem self-corrected after a few turns. For me, the most troublesome thing right now is the ludicrous behavior of the AI races constructing essentially nothing but vast numbers of colony ships. Any progress towards fixing that?
Edit: Semi-awesome. The only options I have are "Opt Out of All Betas" and "Official Launch" - but assuming that version works I'm good.
Edit 2: Rolled back, got to turn 225 with my usual settings, without any problems. Note I am talking about new games here. I have not been attempting to use previous saves.
Reverting to the previous version now.
Nevertheless, given that you recently announced new DLC races and features, we cannot stay on an old version branch forever.
The problems with the new pollution mechanics go much deeper than "the old savegames no longer work". The system by itself is flawled in its current state, even on fresh newly created games.
It makes the game tedious, frustrating, and a micromanagement hell in the mid-late game (again, I'm talking about fresh v51 games, not old savegames).
Please, consider this before releasing more MoO builds...
Regards
L
