Is anybody playing MoO on Windows 10?
If you are... HOW DO YOU DO IT?! I used to play old games in something called Dosbox, like a window running DOS instead of Windows (I think, obviously I've little idea what I'm talking about, but it used to work for the original X-Com). Could that be a solution? If so, how would I do it on Win 10?

DosBox still works for MoO1 and MoO2. In fact if you buy those games on Steam or GoG, it comes with DosBox already set up so you don't have to mess with getting it to work.

If you're talking about moo4, it works fine on Windows 10.

Edit: I noticed you posted elsewhere about a "cannot create new game" error. This has popped up before, and you might want to search the forums to see if others have posted solutions. My guess is it's an issue with onedrive or the folder permissions for your documents folder.

Thanks for your response. I am talking about MoO 4 (the remake), I've tried every suggestion from every forum, but nothing works. I spent a couple of hours fiddling with permissions and Onedrive and various other potential solutions before I posted my problem. Probably should have had a cooling off period before I started posting - it really winds me up when a game doesn't work and there's no fix and it just works fine for some people!

Solved! A person called, "Davor", on a different discussion I opened on this forum, offered a small, but invaluable piece of wisdom - "CHECK YOUR ANTI-VIRUS PROGRAM". So I checked Bitdefender and it had indeed been defending me from Master of Orion.

In hindsight, I'm an idiot and I should have checked it ages ago. In my own normal, forward sight, Davor is my saviour and I now prefer him to Jesus.
