How to locate solar system/planet easy way?
Is there a search bar or something that allows me to locate planets easily?

There is a Planets button on the top right menu bar... shows all explored planets discovered by Scouts or through Starchart sharing in Diplomacy...

If you want to locate planets within your Empire, select the Empire button...

Entering the empire menu doesn't lead me to a solar system where the planet is located. I need to know how to locate specific the planet on the world map.

I have found this under planets tab...

Truth is - it's not there. Not all planets are. Planets displayed under "planets tab" are planets owned by other races. "Empire tab" shows planets under control, but unfortunately it can not lead me to their location on the galaxy map. Semetimes I need to check out nearby planets of the same solar system in order to determine which system unique building to assing to a bigger planet. In order to locate the planet or solar system I have to scroll out the mouse wheel and then look for solar systems' names. It can be frustrating on bigger maps, considering there is large number of solar systems.

@Drnjanin: if your goal is to find colonizable planets, the Planets screen shows (or should show) ALL empty planets known to you, both in your empire and in enemy territory.

Note that I think you need the Unoffical Code Patch (UCP) mod for it to work correctly. If you do NOT have UCP installed and want to play through your current game, don't install UCP until you're ready to play a new game.

Assuming UCP is already installed, sort by biome in the Planet screen, find the planet you're interested in colonizing, then left-click once on the planet's icon - the galaxy map will refocus on that planet.

All I'm asking is to locate my own planet on the map once I select it via empire tab. That simple.

You can't. The Empire screen assumes you want to mass-view/update planets, not use it to go to a different system in the galaxy.

Maybe put in a request in the UCP 5.8 WIP discussion post for a "Set Galactic Focus" option in the Planet screen, so the galaxy focus is switched to that planet after exiting the empire screen.

Or maybe request middle-clicking a planet icon in the Empire screen sets the galaxy focus to it - I'd have suggested you say "right-clicking", but he's currently trying to standardize right-clicking to mean "exit window/screen".

There is no way to center the planet on the map. I asked Sol about this, but so far he has unfortunately not added such an opportunity...

That feature is a must have for a game such as this.

I play on the largest map possible... it's not nearly as large as other games of this nature dude... given it's turn-based and not an RTS, you have all the time in the world to make decisions. Have some patience lol

Added in UCP 5.8 if you ctrl-click on the planet icon on the management screen

***** Enhancements *****
Add.0.0.5.8. Added support to the Empire Management Screen, clicking on a planet image with the Control key held down will exit the screen and take you to the planet on the galaxy map
