Individual ship names

I don't have this game yet but I had heard you can only have class names for ship and not individual names for ships. Even in MOO2 you could individually name ships by simply using the same ship stats and then refitting one ship with the new name and repeating for all your ships. Slow but worked fine for me.

Nope, you can't. You have a limited number of design slots, so you can't use class names as a way to give individual ship names. Also, each time you update a design, it gets a mark number. So you will start with Frigate I, but they'll quickly become Frigate II, Frigate III, Frigate IV, etc.

Well then, may I Stars in Shadow instead? You can rename individual ships, as well as orbital stations, planets, systems... Gameplay is better too IMO.
