Prolific Wildlife

So I colonised a planet with Proflific Wildlife. The tooltip says:

Prolific Wildlife gives a population growth bonus to the colony.

Bonuses: Growth -0.25

That -0.25 reads like it's a negative growth factor?

I'm assuming it will be positive. Better if it read +0.25

Prolific Wildlife is a new resource in the 5X mod.

I saw -0.25 in the mod files, but figured it was working as intended as I never really had the chance to test it out. But perhaps a slip-up.

That's part of the 5X mod yes. It is working as intended. I don't have a way to change the display, but it does in fact grant +25% population growth. The -0.25 means it takes 25% less time to grow a population. If you care to test this yourself, you can use the following settings:
Custom race: Omniscient, All gravity tolerance
Huge circle galaxy
8 opponents
Galaxy age: Old
Pirates: Off
Starting age: Rush
Seed: 45529
All other settings default.
In the nearby Opuss system you will see two medium Terrans, one with prolific wildlife and one without. Colonize each planet. You will see the difference in growth rate. The all gravity tolerance for the custom race is because one of the planets is low g.
