Need help getting to Antares

I still do not know what I need to do to get to Antares. I have installed science research stations on two pink and green asteroids. I click on the asteroid and no where does it say anything about antares. Can you give me a step by step procdure on how to get to antares? Can I still go if I won by economic victory?

If you have won already by another means, then the Antares victory condition disappears. In fact, all other victory conditions become invalid, but you can continue playing the game if you so desire. I mean, you can only win a game once, after all.

I have detailed what you need to do to access Antares in the other folder dealing with the same discussion thread.

You first need to build science stations on 3 asteroids with artefacts. These science stations then need to take about 10 turns to complete their research (then continue to be normal research stations after that). So once you have had at least 3 stations for at least 10 turns eacgh then you will have unlocked the trans dimensional jump gate, however you need the technology to build the gate too ( I think it comes with the normal jump gate tech). You build the jump gate like a planetary building (not by the space factory) and it turns the systems star on the map into the same kind of graphics as the way the Antarens use. You can then send ships through like you would a wormhole.

You will then get your butt handed to you unless you have a bunch of titans and battleships with fairly advanced armor and weaponry.

I had all titans and doomstar with 240 command points with xentronium/death ray and all the best specials

You could have prevented that by selling your stock but I wouldn't have either.

antares was way too easy. I had a doomstar, 15 titans, 3 battleships and I only lost 1, and 2 badly damaged titans. WTF
