What even is the "game of the year edition"? The description of it mentions nothing.

Basically if you don't buy the Trilogy the stand alone GW 1 is Game of the Year with bonuses like the other expansions. Didn't know if the Trilogy includes that or not. Any one know?

...The trilogy includes two of the three expansions, I'm fairly sure the GOTY edition does not.

I'm pretty sure everyone gets the GOTY upgrade by default now. I have it on my three accounts anyway, and I never bought GOTY editions.

GOTY is just prophecies. The GOTY edition just gives you some ingame items and extra character slots if I believe.

So I guess it's included?

What is the difference between campaign and expansion? They're all sold separately (and equally priced at that). The distinction eludes me.

The campaigns are stand-alone games. Eye of the North needs at least one of them to be accessible. But it can be an expansion to all three if they're all on the same account; unlike the campaigns, you can't start a character in Eye of the North, only take existing characters into it.

God I forgot my characters name to be able to login... can you change your account login? It's an old unused email.

Also can if I previously owned the Collector's edition of GW 1 standard does it create another GW 1 account or appends if I use NCSoft account to add.

For the topic.. It seems the trilogy indeed includes GOTY edition. Checked yesterday what GOTY exactly includes and I think at least most of the items if not all are included. Wrote to the chat box "/bonus" and indeed got some items and the item names seems GOTY ones. Also when the CDkeys are used on the NCSoft account, it can be seen that (some) bonus items are unlocked, separately..

I activated the Trilogy just now and it shows that I own the GOTY too in my game list. Feel free to take a look.
The standard core game of GW (Prophecies) is the GOTY edition, whether you buy it standalone or via the Trilogy.

All copies of GW1 Prophecies are now the GOTY edition. The GOTY provides access to more character slots, certain ''bonus'' items and also a more stable release than the original version.
