yea ppl are mainly adding other players to get games going. 1v1 has to be player made or you 1v1vc but i havent had any issues with the game online. Stinks when players dont sit through the epically long games but thats what heroes is all about

Can you do stuff like you and 2 steam friends vs 3 computers on the same team?

Multiplayer is working very smoothly. Invite through steam friends list. Yes, you can play versus eachother, or team up against the ai :)

Some people have been reporting trouble with their connections, but none of the people i have played with have disconnected even once.

I keep reading posts about people having issues with the multiplayer, but I have yet to have issues with it, myself. I start a game, invite my friend through Steam and boom. It is all working perfectly.

And! If you have H3 Complete, you can create maps via the map generator (set for Restoration of Erathia) and use that.

Wait, why i need to invite steam friends to play online? This makes no sense. I don´t want to play against A.I
IS THERE JUST ONLINE MULTIPLAYER?!

you can play vs others, I played two games vs 7 random other players, only that many of them just quit after few turns

But why first person says: "ports needed"
Jon M Feb 1, 2015 @ 9:02am
He is referring to port forwarding. If you host a public game and you want people to be able to connect to your lobby, you will have to open ports in your settings so that people can actually connect. Or you can choose not to deal with port forwarding and let steam do it for you by inviting people from your friends list.

And how can i open these ports?
Jon M Feb 1, 2015 @ 9:27am
It depends on the hardware you are using. Most of the routers have a control panel where you log in as admin and there you can go through with port forwarding. Google the name of your router + "port forwarding" and you should find plenty of guides :)

Good luck & have fun!

Doesn't work for us with my friend at all, we're trying to figure out the port opening rules. :/
