oh man, that is the most frustrating thing isnt it lol.
I have so many really good game keys that I already had. I may open an account on G2A or Kinguin and sell them.
I think that something you can do with spare keys, isnt it?
this is because steam has softwere and movies (not sure if movies are counted since most are just rentals) and other junk now. i do know they do not count dlc (you can show how much dlc you have with one of the showcases). i myself have 4.5k games

can I get in trouble here just for saying those names lol
ive just put about 10games on G.2a. Only the ones which still hold a value of more than 7$. Sold one game aready within an hour.
feels a bit dirty though tbh. I gave away a huge amount of these keys, the ones I put up today were the ones that i still had lying around.
Yeah I've got a big list but just give them away to friends mostly. I hate trading, too many untrustworthies around, people trying to steal stuff worth a couple of £/$'s, real low lifes.
If you have a spare key, I'd encourage a giveaway or maybe selling the key to a friend you know you can trust. If you ever can't afford a game, there are other ways to get them than G.2A (still not legal, and still not supporting the developer, but at least it's not damaging the developer and/or distributor either).
If you'd like to support the developer, always look up their official partners. In our case, we only sell officially through Steam, GOG and Humble :)
I know I bought two copies of that bundle and I also have it from HB monthly but I can only find the key for the HB monthly. I understand this is why but in what bundle was it? =P
I have never bought or sold a key there and haven't really traded many keys either.
I do have spent thousands on HB though and in some cases like this one I have bought the bundle a pair of times in case some friend also would want it / I know I missed some early bundles and wanted them later. However my friends are cheap and end up not wanting it (one of them think it's "unfair" if he pay what the bundle cost because I have "already paid for it" or whatever..) so at-least in theory I would want to have the option to offload additional copies somehow and through those places both sides would at-least get some sort of scam protection. However I do see that other problem too. I hope keys in those cases are just disabled but I've understood that it may actually cost money that people have done that way.
As for people selling at a higher price than their bundle price making money which didn't enter the developers pocket I do see that as a problem on the other hand selling copies at the low prices in bundles is kinda part of the deal and it's something one have to accept or not I suppose. I do understand that some people want to raise awareness of their products / do give something back in this way but not necessarily want to support that other behavior.
On the other hand back before bundles the only PC games I had bought was Warcraft III ROC and TFT and that doesn't equate to much money. On the Amiga I only bought one golf game to have something at first and it was in a bargain bin all else was just empty floppies of course.
I feel like I've launched 10 or so games of the ~4000 I've bought and maybe actually spent time in .. <5. So even if people end up selling games to me at <$1 a piece they still in total have gotten way more money from me than from your average console player or people buying their Battlefield, Call of Duty or FIFA at full price retail and only play that.
The price IS a factor for me because I don't have a good income at all since I don't work but on the other hand the deciding factor for whatever something get played by me or not is all in whatever I feel like wasting my time on it or not and I figure if I'm ok wasting my time in it then I should be fine spending the small cost it actually cost too. So I buy these games because "if I end up playing them they are worth this price" but then I just don't end up playing them because I have so many games and so little time and interest for wasting time in them / grinding things =P. (I'm 39 and life doesn't last forever.)
The majority of my money by far go to the content creators. I'm not one of those who claim it's for charity and I don't boost the charity slider.
As such like in the case of your game I own at-least three copies and I guess I've given you a few dollars for those and I haven't used any of the keys or played the games so that's just free money / support to you guys for nothing really and I haven't sold or given the keys away so I haven't ruined any sales either :)
