Won't Start
I get a

"Win32Mouse > > Win32Mouse Failed to Set Format"

Then I click ok and I get a runtime error.

Please help, I just bought this and cannot wait to get to playing. RC Pro AM with an editor!~!!!!!! Thanks in advance.

Well, I've found the code line that throws that error and some people having the same problem... but nothing really clear.

Are you using many mouse devices in your window ? like a regular mouse + trackball or wacom tablet ? could you try unplugging them ?
If you are only using one mouse, could you change it for a different one ? may be an older mouse, it is just to be sure the problem is with the driver or the device.

Please go to the installation folder and look for the Ogre.log file copy-paste the content here ;)

This is very strange, I can't see anything related to the crash, except:

12:20:09: OGRE EXCEPTION(5:ItemIdentityException): SceneManager instance with name 'ST_EXTERIOR_CLOSE' not found. in SceneManagerEnumerator::getSceneManager at src\OgreSceneManagerEnumerator.cpp (line 274)

It is quite strange... I assume you have latest NVIDIA drivers right ?
Try this, edit the config file located in:
D:\Program Files (x86)\Steam\steamapps\common\ThunderWheels\config
the file is thunderwheels.cfg

look for this section graphics and replace with this parameters:
[graphics] FSAA = 0 Full Screen = false Render System = OpenGL VSync = true Video Mode = 1280 x 800 is_first_execution = false

Sorry for the late response. I tried what you suggested and it didn't work. I reinstalled the game on my main hard drive to see if that helped but still no. I have a screengrab of the error just don't know how to attach that here.

Error is: "Win32Mouse::Win32Mouse > > Failed to set format"

Don't worry, I take my time for replying also because I don't receive a notification via email.

This error is really weird and I think the message you see (win32mouse) isn't the real problem.

Try this, open the game, see the error, click OK in the popup and then run the "Event viewer", on the left side of the Event viewer select Windows logs -> Application and look for the error, it should say something abut "thunderwheels.exe", copy paste the info here.

I saw you are using two different PCs one with a GTX960 card and the other with a RTX 2070, are you getting the same error in both PCs ?

I'm running the RTX 2070 card. I did look through the entire list and don't see anything that says "thunderwheels.exe". Found my Event Viewer followed to Windows logs -> Application. But nothing there? Thank you again for all your help in getting this running for me. I really do appreciate it :) I know I will love it and can't wait to design for it as well.

Well, I've found the code line that throws that error and some people having the same problem... but nothing really clear.

Are you using many mouse devices in your window ? like a regular mouse + trackball or wacom tablet ? could you try unplugging them ?
If you are only using one mouse, could you change it for a different one ? may be an older mouse, it is just to be sure the problem is with the driver or the device.

Yes, I have a trackball in use and installed and software to run my tablet which hasn't been plugged in in a while. I'll check to see if the old mouse works. Thanks again.

OK! I went and picked up a cheap little mouse (actually pretty cool with color changing leds) and came home unplugged my trackball and plugged this in and KABLAM! It WORKS!! Wow, such a simple solution. Thank you again for you continued help in getting this game up and running.
