Also, what is your average garrison strength?
I have the trader and have allooooot of goods, so thats not the problem. Altho the AI wont accept alliances or NAPs
My towns and villages i max as quick as possible so mostly 9 garisson in villages and 11 in towns... i dont build extra garisson buildings tho, cuz they were never needed in previous TW games.. especially not in warhammer. Warhammer was to easy anyway.
Trade with them, even just paltry amounts as long as it is slightly favourable to them (+0.5).
As for garrisons I only have my own campaigns for reference, but I always keep minor town garrisons at at least 15 units with a watch tower+garrison building or a full fortress. That seems to sufficiently deter opportunistic attacks.
They will if you join their wars pre-emptively and trade away useless regions that you conquer in exchange for military alliances. You gotta play the diplomacy game, staying isolated leads to getting dogpiled.
You need guard houses on border provinces to defend against random attacks. You can easily get a 16-stack garrison that will stand against everything but multi-stack invasions. As in most TW games, the AI can see when your borders are weakly defended and will declare opportunistically.
take trading power, go for east nod, 1 turn, to get tons of stone
blitz first enemy, after that recruit kushite troops from court actions
then go for egyptian faction straight away,
after that rush palm tree faction,
wars can be pretty random, but you can take your first enemy in 4 turns, then 6 turn you can take first settlement of north egyptian faction, probably you will have to fight large battle first, use spy first to see where their troops are before starting war.
try too keep palm faction friendly until you will attack them around 11 turn,
use tower post close to their border, take +50% ambush chance and ambush between post and their capital , they will always rush post to destory them, you can pick them up one by one
TY for the reply. I will try that.
Ye i guess the diplomatic part is way more important in this game then in other TW games.. That sounds nice. Diplomates was always underwelming in TW .. Good its more important now
Ye i always trade to 0.0. so no +5 for relation improvement. Il try gifting them more. TY
Ty , does holding a council spot make other factions more warlike?
What is working often in middle game its dragging other factions to wars vs smaller factions.
Ive loaded save plenty of time in middle of AI turns when some factions started wars out of nowhere. Pay them to join my war or join them to fight some minir factions.
And get prowinces only on one side of river. Western desert is resources rich.
Tau province have legitymacy posts, and north province also have plenty of tombs etc., it will balance conquering west which is lacking legitymacy wise.
There is also ambition quest focused on stacking gold is worth to focus on because it gives 15 turns diplomation bonus. You need to stack 2000 gold first tier, but is pretty easy when yoy use defraudation court action. Lower tier of this ambition. Same with reaserach i think it aleays helpfull to first focus on diplomacy bonuses perks. Theres is one +5 bonus all factions , and next one is + 10 diplomacy bonus egyptian factions. It can mitagate diplomatic penalty from conquering new territories.
TY:
Diplomacy is so important in this game... i kinda underestimated it. I like tho that finally diplomacy is playing a role in the campaigns.
I will try your tips later.
BTW: does holding a council spot make other factions more warlike?
