Very little effort has gone into the remastering in my opinion. The game actually has FEWER graphics options for example and still only uses a very poor edge-based anti-aliasing method that is akin to FXAA at best. There is no attempt to add TAA or DLAA or even DLSS/FSR/XeSS. The game also stutters more than before too due to switching from DX9 to DX12.
It's a barebones effort in my experience. Sure, the game looks better in places when you compare them - the UI is crisper for starters - but is otherwise 95% the same. This feels more like a cash grab than a genuine remastering effort. A chance for the publisher to sell the games again on the new consoles even though they could play the PS4 and Xbox One versions already via backwards compatibility...
This may be possible via a config file tweak. I will have to look later as I'm sure the LEGO games store their settings in a file either in My Documents or the hidden C:/User/Local folder.
i think its because they mainly focus on the console ports, so they dont unlock fps for pc bcoz its too much work for them. therefore we need to alert them to this problem so they fix it
You have to be kidding me when you say that this version stutters more, the original version of Harry Potter 5-7 had horrible Traversal Stutter every few steps and luckily in this new version those stutters are no longer there.
On the other hand, the original version of 1-4 was quite good.
I'm playing rigth now and seeing some stutterts while I'm walking through Hogwarts. These stutters are very frustating.
Changing the 60fps lock would probably be a healthy amount of work due to the game's physics/mechanics being tied to fps. Hopefully we could at least get an easy to implement frame double (120Hz) for higher fps down the road in a future patch or something.
Overall, I still think the $10 per game upgrade was worth if you liked the originals.
I thought these consoles were marketed as 120fps.
