First, if you've supported us on Kickstarter, we detailed an update on fulfillment + showed a preview of our physical merch rewards that we're getting ready to produce! You can check that out here:
As for our current work on the game, the team has been continuing to build out the game's world and construct the playable part of the main narrative. Most of our attention recently has been focused on our very first demo, which unlocks for certain kickstarter backers sometime in the next few months. But even if you don’t have access to the demo, here’s some sneak peeks for everyone!
Here's a preview of another biome that some of you can visit soon in the demo! We didn't want to give away too much, so here's just a look inside one of the buildings for the time being. All plant life in this biome grow out of pools of water like this one:
Here's an example of the doors you can use to access different biomes from your home garden. It took a while for us to nail down the look, but we’re pretty happy with the result.
Of course, this is just the presentable, polished in-game art. Most of our other work was designing and further refining our various gameplay loops and systems, which probably isn’t very exciting to anyone who doesn’t like flowcharts…But we like flowcharts so we’re showing them anyway! (Spoilers have been redacted for your viewing pleasure)
And, what the heck, have a few embarrassingly rough drafts for Ling's animations too while we're at it.
...and that's all we have to share for now!
