It hope so too, it deserves to be. Valkyia Chronicles was also a top seller on steam when it came out so it's quite possible.
But I still hope to see other VC games on the PC in the future. I'm just not holding my breath. :)
I'd prefer VC4 over porting but I'd probably take VC2-3 bundled or prices appropriately as ports....some people however might not...
Ideally, Valkyria Chronicles 2, given its PSP heritage, could be given a "HD Remix" of sorts, similar to the PS Vita launch of Assassin's Creed Liberation that was brought to the PC with multiple upgrades to graphics, control and even some content. VC2 on PSP sadly, only included English vocals for the Western release, but I would hesitate to purchase the PC version if they didn't also provide the option for Japanese audio, just like has been done with VC1.
I'd like to see Valkyria Chronicles 3 brought to PC as well . They should use the "Extra Edition" version of VC3 and all it content+DLC as the basis for the HD release. The only issue with 3 that is not the case for 1 and 2, is that VC3 was never released outside Japan and thus there are no English voice actors for the project. Personally, I'd rather them just release it exclusively with Japanese audio and simply add official text/subtitle transactions, rather than the time and cost of hiring an English voice cast; a factor SEGA may feel is not worth the investment. There are several Japanese-sourced titles here on Steam that release exclusively with JP audio and simply text/UI additions in Western languages instead, so there is a good precedent in this regard.
Ultimately, I'd love to see both VC2 and VC3 EE brought to PC, via Steam. Hopefully SEGA will see the benefit of doing so, and doing it right!
lol comparing the assassins creed franchise to VC spending power and budget backing, that's not overly optimistic. Shemnue peeps been ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ for a sequel for years, Sega didn't listen to them, what makes you think they will listen to you guys with VC?
