Found a temporary fix for stutter in Cutscenes.
If you're playing in 60fps or higher and experiencing stutter in the pre rendered cutscenes due to them being rendered in 30fps (Or maybe 24fps), download RadeonPro or the Nvidia equivalent.

Set dynamic framerate control to 30fps but leave it turned off for playing the game, then when you watch a pre-rendered cutscene just use the hotkey to toggle it on and lock the framerate to 30fps for the cutscene then just toggle it off at the end.

Not ideal but works nonetheless. Would be the nice if the game had a dynamic framerate option included.

Let me know if this helps any of you :)

This is way more than temporary for me...it's perfect! A combination of turning VSync Always on and DFC to 30 FPS in RadeonPro will result in the scenes playing smooth while it's active. To turn it on and off mid-game you need to set a hotkey to activate Radeon Pro's OSD. Once you use that hotkey in-game (I'm using Page Down) you have to press Shift-End while you can see that OSD bar. As long as the game is running at 30 FPS when the movies play, they'll look smooth (because that's what they were originally rendered in). And although it's redundant with the game settings, VSync always on ensures no screen tearing (because application default disables in when DFC is on).

Be aware that the 60 to 30 FPS jump is jarring once you land back in book mode, and you'll find out really quick why most games don't have a dynamic framerate option. But for this it's definitely the best kind of solution we can have without a patch, because the movies are what cause the problem.

And honestly, I'm not really holding out much hope for a patch on this anyway.

Many thanks for the fix!

Yeah the game literally slows down to half speed when you're back in book mode haha so yeah you have to turn it off at the end. And yep, I second the point you made about Vsync, I already had it turned on in Radeonpro so didn't notice the tearing but you're right. Glad it worked for you anyway! :)
I'm having problems with this too, can you please tall me the exact configuration of your radeon pro?

Hi there, in Radeon Pro's tweaks tab:

- Vsync: Driver Default

- Dynamic framerate control: 30 (OFF but toggle on for cutscenes. Check in settings tab for hotkeys on how to toggle OSD and dynamic framerate control on and off. You want to toggle the framerate from 60 down to 30 when cutscenes are playing as they are rendered in 30.)

- force high priority ( This will prevent slow motion when switching to 30fps.)

- disable aero

In the game's configuration:

- Resolution: (Your monitors resolution)@60hz

- Vsync: ON

- Frame Limit: Refresh Rate.

ALTERNATIVELY you just set the resolution to (Your monitor's resolution)@30hz and set the frame limit to refresh rate to play at a smooth 30fps consistently both in gameplay and cutscenes. This is what I do at the moment because I'm using Gedosato to play at 4K resolution downsampled, and I get framerate drops from 60.

Keeping the refresh rate and frame rate 100% in sync seems to be key for this game!

Hope this helps! :)
