Anyone there that tried to play the game on a laptop graphics of similar specs? (9600 GT is a desktop card and quite more capable compared to my measly hardware)

I know it´s a long shot but it´s worth a try to ask anyway.

Go there and enter Valkyria Chronicles in the search field and go.
But please, take everything it say with a grain of salt.
I have a GeForce GT 240 which the site claim is unable to do the job, despite me already having played the game flawlessly at 1920*1080 with silky smooth gameplay.
What's important with the scan is to see if you fulfill the individual requirements. Example:
. . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . Required . . . . . You Have
Icon Pixel Shader version . . . . . . 4.0 . . . . . . . . . . 4.1
Icon Vertex Shader version . . . . 4.0 . . . . . . . . . . 4.1
Icon Dedicated Video RAM . . . . .1 GB . . . . . . . . . 1.0 GB
As you can see I fulfill it in spite of my graphics card having failed just because it's old.
Hope this can be of help to you. :)

I've been wondering the same question you asked and I know this discussion is kind of dead but I was wondering if you have ever had any problems running it?
Hope this helps.
Windows 7 Home Basic 32-bit
Processor: Intel(R) Core(TM) i3 CPU M 350 @ 2.27GHz (4 CPUs)
Memory: 3072MB RAM
Card name: ATI Mobility Radeon HD 5145
On Radeon HD 4850 512mb, 2.4 Quad Core, 3.25GB RAM, Win 8.1 32bit
Have not witnessed any slowdown what-so-ever, it really is smooth as silk.
I could probably push higher if I had the patience for trial and error, but looks great so not bothered.
I assume mobility cards are weaker so would use caution.
