VC can be hard, but it never approaches the controller-snapping difficulty of Operation Darkness since you want to compare them. The real-time element primarily comes into taking your turns as quickly as possible and positioning your units so that they do enough interception fire that enemies either prematurely end their turns or "throw themselves on your spears" so to say.
Either way, twitch reflexes play basically no role and don't make the game easier.
I still have my 360 and the game in great condition, but would still like to see it officially released on Steam or playable on the Series/One X/S.
