I beat the game, so what?
The game was good in my point, but I've heard that there were continuations of it, anyone can explain me what is it? And I find pointless to unlock some extra things after beating the game and starting all over at the same damn save game.

let me see if I understand what you are asking..

your asking whats next now that you beat the game? well you beat it, so you can play through NG+ while carrying over everything you unlocked from your first playthrough, you can play through the games DLC's (accessed from the Main Menu's "EXTRA" option), or if you don't want to replay it you can move onto the next game you have in your backlog..

as for a Continuation, there is a Sequel (Valkyria Chronicles 2) that is only avaliable only if you own either a PSP or a Playstation Vita (No PC version exists).. the sequel isn't as good as this one though, instead of following Welkin an co. it focuses on a group of Students from the royal military academy, it takes place in Gallia after the war, with the events focusing on a Politcal Uprising caused by an event near the end of the first game
that event being that the princess is in fact a Darcsen and not a descendant of the Valkyria, and the truth behind the Darcsen Calamity where the Darcsens were actually the victims with the Valkyria being the invaders

if thats not what you were asking I apologize, was kinda hard for me to understand what you were saying due to the grammer you used

Not really, you can get some shiny new medals and unlock some hidden content in NewGame+.

Which means he is done, since he seems to have 0 interest in New Game+

Not really, what I meant to say was that the game "erases" your chapter progress, making you have to play everything you've done again, instead of simply giving an option to load the last save file adding the new features...

Well there's a medal that requires you to basically let a character die, I'll say that: R-E-A-L-L-Y? I spent the whole game without letting a character die and it requires me to do this sacrifice, that was an effort wasted...

Dead characters come back to life on NG+, exactly how they were when they died, so Splintered Horn is no big deal.
Also with the unexpected popularity Valkyria Chronicles enjoyed when it launched on steam has led to a few beautiful rumors of VC2 getting an HD port for PC and maybe a localization of VC3

I highly doubt that one or both of the other games will get ported, but we can always hope.

Till then I'll just have to cope with my ancient PSP, the translated VC3 is not that bad.

That and there are plenty of useless characters who are no big loss if they die. For example, Susie and Herbert are probably the most useless characters in the game.

When you start NG+, it unlocks hard and expert difficulty for skirmishes (which you can play without replaying any story battle at all), as well as the 9th skirmish on easy/normal.

Also when you beat a story battle, you can replay it as many times as you want (on your first playthrough you can't replay them at all). So a NG+ save after the last battle allows you to replay any battle in the game whenever you want (while a first playthrough save before the last battle only allows you to replay easy/normal first 8 skirmishes, and Edy's dlc skirmishes).

You get a few new things as well, some new tabulations (like the statistic tab that lists the number of turns it took you to beat each battle. Beating those while you replay the story battles during NG+ can be a motivation to go through the story battles again in NG+), a new recruit (Musaad), a new order (Reckon Request, though you still need the old man to randomly teach it to you) and the possibility to collect anything you might have missed in story battles on your first playthrough (ace and royal weapons).

Also, as said above, you have the DLC accessible through the main menu (if you haven't played it yet).

Susie is actually a pretty solid scout if you keep her hidden potential (Humanitarian) locked.
