I managed to neutralize her that way with Knute (with an attack order on him and with the abovementioned Kar 5 G equipped). Gotta love that guy.
She will not evade if you do not zoom in.
Getting behind her can be a problem as well, as sometimes - at least for me - she happily ran into a corner and wedged herself in so she could see me coming from either side, so I couldn't shoot her in the back.
The best suggestion I got was to find a unit nearby which has "Undodgeable Shot", and load them up with Orders, starting with "Awaken Potential", which will greatly increase the chances of "Undodgeable Shot" going off.
I also ended up putting the Shamrock right beside Selvaria, so it could shield that unit on approach AND add supporting fire when the attacking units shot, and if the "Undodgeable Shot" goes off, it ALSO applies to the supporting fire as well.
A really fast, cheesy, simple way:
- When configuring the Edelweiss, maximize accuracy over everything else.
- Burn a CP for an Aim order on Welkin, to increase accuracy.
At this point, the Edelweiss's main gun is very acccurate.
Select the Edelweiss. Move forward to reduce the distance (helps that tank cannons and lancers don't get used for interception fire), then headshot Selvaria with the *main gun*; she won't dodge, and this will take a massive chunk of her health. A second headshot should do it. If you miss a headshot, you've still got the CP to take some more tries.
Yes, she can survive a tank round to the face. :o
I chased her towards the wall on the far north of the Map, then approached her with a Pincer formation with both tanks, as such when it was her turn it immediately ended thanks to both tanks interception fire, thus making her turns pointless because she was completely immobilized by the intercerption....
I hid a few Scouts and Shocks behind the tanks, moved them slowly out of the tanks cover on which ever side she wasn't facing (because the only real way to damage her in that fight is to shoot her from behind), shot her and with the support fire from the nearby tank and other Infantry it made her go down fairly quickly..
it is just getting the tanks and Infantry in the right placement to perform the pincer formation that is difficult
Defense up---->Alicia
Awaken Potential---->Alicia
Go close under the wall, near the tank, so her interception/counterfire can't hit you anymore.
Aim at her head--->Undodgable potential activates
Keep shooting at her till she dies.
All done in 1 turn.
And getting the map done the way it was intended:
Simply use Isara's smoke to cover the stairs, and use one of your scouts to go up, once upstairs either capture the base and request reinforcement there (if you didn't deploy many downstairs) or activate the elevator to send troops up.
As for Selvaria herself, use covers and bring troops close to her. Team attack helps a lot. Also if you can smoke her somehow with the Edelweiss, she won't dodge at all....takes many CP to get Welkin there though.
put every possible accuracy upgrade i could on the edelweiss at that point before the battle
use isara's smoke to shield a lancer
have said lancer blow up the heavy tank
move the edelweiss up and tank snipe her(why the accuracy is important)
victory
it's possible to do this in 1 - 2 turns
I really don't know how to use it(actually where to find this option).
It's equipped on the Edelweiss, use tab to select it.
