I'm still no fan and rarely, if ever, use it. But then again, neither do I use Edelweiss beyond absolute necessity (mostly mortar 2+ threats and put up smokescreens). Infantry is much more capable most of the time.
they are both tanks, but they handle very differently..
I have never put the cannon turret on the Shamrock.. equip it with the machine gun turret, and it can hold most camps single handedly (unless a lancer attacks anyways)..
or equip it with the flamethrower turret, and it becomes the single best crowd control unit there is, if you can get close enough to use it it can take out dozen in a single shot
Shamrock is +1 to your CP, and a possible meatshield for Edelweiss.
In Busards's "Gallian Crossfire" mod, the Shamwow's "gatling" guns gain interception fire capabilites, making her more useful for taking infantry--but she's much weaker against anti-tank fire.
