Chronology? There's only this game and Valkyira Chronicles 4 on Steam?

Where did the 2nd and 3rd games go? Were they lumped in into a single game in a similar fashion to the MCC collection? I don't wanna get this game and find out i'm gonna miss out on part of the story because it's just not available on pc.

VC2 and VC3 are on PSP, VC2 was localized, VC3 never made it to USA and remained in Japan.

However VC1 and VC4 take place in the same timeline, VC4 happens at the same time VC1 is happening and vice versa

VC2 happens after VC1 and VC4, and VC3 also happens at the same time as VC1 and VC4 just a different perspective.

VC1 and VC3 take place at roughly the same time. VC2 is set 2 years after VC1, 3 and 4.

The Story timeline is that VC4 starts before VC1 and VC3 and Ends after them aswell and then VC2 is 2 years after the end of VC1.

So if you want to play it in complete order, which is a bit annoying but w/e. You play 4 until Ch 4 -> 1 and 3 go here -> at ch 9 of VC1 you go back to VC4 and do the Squad 7 DLC which unlocks at the end of chapter 4 of VC4 -> then go and do Ch 9 of VC1 and go finish the game and also finish VC3 -> Then go finish VC4. -> Then play through VC2.

VC1 and VC3 go together at the same time, from a different squad perspective and VC3 is the one most people think is the best story wise however you have to emulate it and play it with the English Fan Patch.

1,3 and 4 are basically the same war from different perspectives. 2 is set after, but not really a full sequel it's more of a school thing.
