VC4 has a bit more 'depressing' story wwith much more end-game content.
But I do advise to first play VC1 before VC4 since if you go from VC4 to VC1 you will miss out on the gameplay improvements.
Anyways I would follow what the others have said and play VC1 and VC4, and if you want too, emulate VC3. My personal order ranking the games would be VC1 is equal too VC3, VC4, VC2(but I never fully finished it), Valkyria Revolutions
That's exactly why I picked this up before I got too deep into VC4. I struggle to return to past games when I play newer instalments, and I'm already disliking the control scheme, which I had to change most keys.
Danganronpa's complete cast of ♥♥♥♥♥ don't even come close to being as annoying as Raz.
