Nope. Batomys. No more.
One of the most poorly designed sections of a game I have ever encountered. Poory thought out, poorly explained, poorly balanced and incredibly long. I am uninstalling this game and never coming back to it. I was having a brilliant time until this mission.

Takes forever for the batomys to move into the positions that let you attack the radiators.

Once you take down two of them a squad arrives and kills almost everyone I have in a single turn, even when I had my guys as far away from them as possible.

From that point you not only need to kill the last radiator, but to slowly destroy the tank with normal fire, which takes about 10 rounds from lancers and your tank. All while somehow not being massacred each turn by the girl with the laser weapons.

This game can ♥♥♥♥ off, I'm not putting any more effort into this.

If you've already uninstalled then this falls on deaf ears, but the answer to everyone getting killed is: don't have them there. Have them all fall back to the nearby base and retreat just before/after destroying the second radiator. The white haired person is the only one you need to worry about, so anywhere between the second and final base is probably safe from her. She also can't damage tanks, so use the eidelweiss as mobile cover and just heal it with an engineer to protect from the Botmys' rear cannon.

That's as much advice as I can give without playing over your shoulder, and it won't help if you've already quit, but it's what helped me. If you can get past it, the next few chapters aren't nearly as frustrating.
Yeah Batomys seems hard at first but really you just have to retreat most of your units or get them to cover (i.e. behind trenches behind the batomys or just in the final base or one of the walls scattered around the level). Make sure Selveria doesn't have line of sight on any of your units except the Eldelwiss which she doesn't even target. Hint: Selvaria takes time to charge up her attack so you can dodge from cover to cover if its a short distance.

Remember 4 things, 1) Don't let that imperial chick get LINE OF SIGHT on you, 2) her attack TAKES TIME to CHARGE up 3) for GOD's sake use COVER 4) and she does NOT TARGET the EDELWISS

After you blow up the reactors killing the batomys is ez pz. it takes quite a few shots from a lancer or Edelwiss but hey thats all you'll be doing that turn. its not that hard if you plan ahead and position your troops well since you know exactly when (after 2nd reactor is destroyed) and where the reinforcements will be coming from. you also know exactly where the batomys will head.

Next time ask for help on THIS discussion forum before rage quitting. -_-

You need to play some tricks on this level. I think it's just why this game is interesting.:steamhappy:

Git Gud.

There are openings on the radiators that you can throw grenades into, destorying them in one hit.

its not a great mission but its different and its always good when developers add "bad" missions to test out new concepts in games but yea this mission was really not the greatest fun I had

This fight is both easy and hard at the same time. Easy in the respect that you can't ♥♥♥♥ it up if you know what your doing, hard in the respect that the margin for error is so small for this fight I needed an electron microscope to see the margin.

What I did was use my lancers to snipe the machine guns and park a engineer behind the Edelweiss the boss will never fire it's main cannon twice in one turn. Spread out and kill the outlying troops and make sure everyone ends their turn in cover that protects them from the super tank. Once enough damage is done the radiators will be exposed this was hard for me to figure out because the game didn't do a good job explaining it and I didn't know I needed to let the tank destroy the first position (I parked the Edelweiss in front of the Batomys so it couldn't move.)

Once I figured that out I used my lancers to destroy the radiator. Selvaria eventually arrived. I sniped and ambushed her reinforcements and made sure to stay out of her line of sight. She camped next to the Batomys so I waited till the Batomys was one turn from it's victory and ambushed the vehicle from cover on both sides and blew the remaining radiator. Completed it with no one injured or killed but ♥♥♥♥ did I need to do alot of retrying.

It's not even about "git gud". This whole mission the game keeps dropping clues about what you should be doing. It tells you explicitly to drop the walls to open the radiators. It fills the map with conveniently placed cover to hide your troops in. The only hard part is to hit the last radiator with a scout without getting overwatched. Selvaria is incredibly predictable: she marches through that trench directly to the tank, and doesn't leave its side. Just cover her up with the tank on your last turn, and bomb the Batomys at will with your lancers.

It's doable - just tedious

Second try I figured this out so it's easy as pie. Just use a couple of lancers and take out all the cannons ASAP. Then use the lancers or the tank to knock over the walls, then get a soldier ready with a grenade and each time Batomys shoots the walls, climb the ladders and lob a grenade into the blue vents. Easy peasy. By the time the blue lady arrives, there's only one or two vents left. Lob a smoke round onto blue lady, pop the remaining vents, then hit Batomys with every lancer and tank round you can find, and you'll be home in time for tea and Alicia's cinnamon buns.

BINGO!

Or "Try Strategy?" Really not a hard battle - it's VERY doable!

You can easily beat the boss with just destroying three turrets, the one in front the ones next to it on both sides. You can throw a grenade to the back radiator from either of the side radiators' scaffolds. This made the fight alot easier.

Save the right side radiator as the last one and I'm pretty you can use the enemy tank itself as cover against the lady with the lance when the tank turns right after the second base gets run over.

Exactly! VERY doable!

I admit that I thought that it was very unfair and brutal the first time around when I didn't know that a bunch of op units were gonna spawn right behind my troops but it was very easy on my second try.

I beat it on my first try, but it's really is tedious and poorly thought out. The fact that you can't attack the radiators until he does his order attack is incredibly dumb, and means he has to clear 3 walls, and if your tank is too close, he aggros onto your tank. If you only have 2 walls left, then you can't win, I think. The whole fight is incredibly cool, but the mechanics behind it are really really poorly planned.
