Windows 11 required?
First time I've personally seen W11 being the only OS allowed.

There is your clue on a release date. Windows 10 support ends Oct 14 this year. So I imagine that’s the reason its Windows 11 only…
I see no reason why it would be unplayable with Windows 10.

Might be because they're ending updates and support to Windows 10.
They cant force you to buy the game

and cant force you to change your operating system

and are afraid of having horror themes in a horror game

but they can erase Kojima's name from Metal Gear re-releases

By the time this is released, those figures will look notably different.
It's a long way from release but speculation is why not still run on Windows 10.

Because Windows 10 goes out of support in October - before this is released. As a responsible developer they are encouraged to get their users on an operating system that still receives security updates.

Pretty sure I don't need to explain why being on an operating system that gets security updates is important..

Yes that is an important feature for an operating system. But people have avoided switching to the newer version of Windows before.

What helps is I have good antivirus and mostly just use my gaming PC for games. Not a lot of risky activities. And I stayed away from situations like the Dark Souls servers.

That doesn't mean that the game should just not run on Windows 10.
lol windows11

Well it does mean they don't (and probably wont) have to make it work on Windows 10.

It's the same for me. I read it for the first time, too. I'm currently still using Windows 10, but there are other reasons for that. I can't play my favorite game from 1999 on Windows 11. I tried it, but to no avail.

And anyone who doesn't use Windows 11 but a different system, like Linux or Mac, definitely won't be able to play the game. Anyway, in a few months, there will be one last update for Windows 10.
