Do Companion left in bars disappear

Basically what it says in the title. I found a named character that I wanted very badly for my settlement, so I hire them, but didn't have room for them at the moment so my plan was to leave them in the bar, make my delivery, head back to base drop off the other passenger, then go back and pick up the character. Except by the time I got back they were gone and now I'm seeing them show up again offering jobs.

They only wait for you in bars for a limited time. After that they go back to their normal behavior.

It would be really nice to know how long. It took me just over an in game week to get back to them. I had some guys I left in my settlements bar hang our for nearly an ingame month.

The only time they stay in the same bar is if you leave them in your settlement I believe Other than that they move around.

They will randomly appear at a bar somewhere.

Had been looking for my loss trucker. She must get drunk all the time in all those bars.
