lost object references tends to happen now and then especially in heavily modified game, so I suspect this is not an issue (unless it happens many many times)

Did you try playing the game in
developer mode? And set the debug log to pause on error. This allows you to see the error when it happen without having to look into long log files. Also allows you to see how many times the same error

I'm not a tech guy at all. The game wont even let me deactivate any mods that might be causing an issue. It comes up with these error messages, which means absolutely nothing to me:

reference exception causing it, but it is related to a Haul Urgently command for sure. Could be from issuing a "Haul Everything" command or accidentally selecting a Fogged object to haul.

Backstory related or not, I think that is definitely why none of the raiders spawned. There was an error with their min and max age that was causing them to not spawn.
