If you play with mods, perma disabling debug mode is just silly. Having the discipline to only Dev mode to circumvent impossible/broken/non existent mechanics is the key to this game.
I know Dwarf Fortress does this but can DF vet explain how it works? Does it have a timeskip or something like that?
My original ideology is no longer in a list since it went instinct…
here is a case where not everything could be covered up with dev mode…
I like an idea of resetting some technologies and to those add some research bonus. That would be quite neat punishment, since now you can infinitely create new colonists so this no longer be abused
That's not a thing that happens though. Your starting ideology always exists and is always listed as your starting ideology even if there is nobody on the planet alive (or dead) following it, if it becomes inactive in your colony it drops to the bottom of the Ideology list but has a symbol next to it identifying it as your starting ideology. Further, if you keep playing the game will still spawn pawns that follow that ideology allowing you to recover and keep playing as that ideology even without dev mode.
