Report a translation problem
Marble does not work differently than any other stone and you can definitely have a mostly marble mountain. This is just RNG.

I'd suggest the mod "Prepare Landing" it allows you to filter tiles to easily find what you are looking for. And if I'm not mistaken, an advanced mode to modify a tile to suit your needs.
Note that this mod is not updated for the 1.5 test version yet.
I use map preview so I am able to see how the map generates before I load into the world. On most the mountain is Slate, Granite or Limestone. If Marble is on the map, is might be a smaller section of the entire mountain, and or maybe a stone segment that is not part of the main map.
Probably serverly limit my mods entirely just to see if its not some other strange mod thats doing this.
