Destroying the cube has some dangers: only a colonist that is not obsessed with it can do it, it takes a shard and when it is done, everyone that is obsessed will go berserk. Also, make sure no obsessed is in a caravan: if a obsessed pawn is on the world map when the cube is destroyed that pawn will leave forever. One easy way to counter the riot is anesthese every obsessed pawn before destroying the thing, they will be fine when they awake
If things are already too critical, the cube cant be destroyed by conventional means, but you can dump it on the world with a drop pod, however if you do that, pawns will not be healed from the obsession and you will have to deal with withdrawal. Cube withdrawal is quite brutal, it will inflict consciousness and mood debuffs and unlike drug withdrawal that heals as soon as it reaches max, cube withdrawal will render the pawn unconsciouss when it gets above extreme. The pawn will be out of comission for a random amount of time that can be as much as two seasons and only them it will be recovered
You love The Cube and The Cube loves you. Go ahead and hold The Cube, cherish The Cube.
The Cube is love! The Cube is Life!
