Green Area Of Sun Lamps?
Does anyone know what the green area of the sun lamps means? I believe this is new. It that just the area that it provides light for but probably can't make that area grow?

green area? sounds like modded to me.

green areas usually mean range of meditation interaction (like graves for morbid).

I think it means the area is also lit, but not above 50% so it cannot be used to grow plants.

Yeah, it's the lit but not brightly lit range. But also worth mentioning I think is that since v15, the white, brightly lit range is now inaccurate and the brightly lit area now reaches an additional tile away in reach direction.

This looks the same as it always has been; 5 tiles away from the light.

Right, the white range is the same but isn't accurately reflecting the brightly lit range. Note the devilshrooms within the green growth area but outside of the white range

Well, for whatever reason those tiles don't grow anything on my current playthrough. I accidentally made my grow zone include one of the tiles just outside of the 'white range' (the upper right corner) and several days later I got a message saying the plant rotted.

Wonderful...congrats. Having no roof over that one tile definitely does not make a difference.

There are still roofed tiles outside of the normal sun lamp range The unroofed tiles he has going look like they're just to prevent wasting hydroponics spaces.

Unfortunately, this seems to have been fixed in today's patch.

You're saying it's the same size it always was now?

That it was before the initial 1.5 patch, yeah.
