Because oddly enough, animals dont take kindly to their limbs freezing off. Feeding them does not change that. Build a nice comfy stable for them!

You can make hay ( paga or paja in spanish, I think ) in summer, and store it for the winter.
stored indoors ( but not refrigerated ) it lasts the whole winter.

It is something you sow on fields, just like rice, but very low labour requirements. It is absolutely rubbish for human food. So, just make a regular field and sow grass/hay on it.

facil. planta mucho pasto (creo que es un mod el que deja paja ) o vegetales en la temporada de verano para tener de sobra cuando llegue el invierno, o crea pienso para animales

to harald: "paja" means another thing on LATAM.... mastur.... u know? Spain spanish = UK english, LATAM spanish = USA English, Chilean spanish (where i am from and OP too) = Scottish English

I had spanish-spanish about 35 years ago as a tertiary language in uni, not current on latam slang. All I know is that if it says ''no hay tabacco'' in the shops, you are better off not buying cigarettes from that shop under any circumstance.

You dont necessarily have to turn the the hay into animal feed, they eat it as straw. It is area intensive to make, but really cheap on the labour.
