Anyone else dealing with colonists getting pregnant too much?
My guy has 3 kids under the age of 8 and he just got his wife pregnant again while the youngest is still a baby.

♥♥♥♥♥ crazy.

You can change how much they're trying for pregnancy in the relationship tab.

You can always research birth control if it's really a problem.

It happens - there are no Rubber Johnny's on the rim!

Sounds like his pull out game is non-existent...

He was probably a former raider recruited into the colony. You know those raiders, they never try to pull out until it's too late.

In my last playthrough I did. I had something like 5 babies in the colony by the end of year 1, despite (almost) always setting them to reduced pregnancy chance on the social tab. And that trend just continued throughout the playthrough..it was crazy.

It didn't help that it was my first playthrough with Biotech and I didn't realize I could "terminate pregnancy" until somewhere into year 3 or so....

In my current playthrough, on the other hand, no one got pregnant at all in year 1. Year 2 was a little more fertile, but as of year 5 I only have 2 born-in-colony children thanks to fewer pregnancies than that last playthrough, and also now being aware of the terminate option.

I also now use a mod that adds birth control pills. It's a less aggressive solution to what the game offers at the cost of being required to take a pill ever 5 days. I put everyone in the colony on the pill after they have 1 child.

Try Inhuman, then you'll appreciate.

Yeah when a healthy couple starts churning out babies they won't stop. You can reduce the chances to 25% in the social tab by telling them to avoid pregnancy, but this menu is almost hidden

Or you can just chop it off

He's one of the starting colonists.

If you have the Anomaly DLC you can just make one of the couple pawns younger under 16, this prevents pregnacy by using one of the rituals. When he/she reachs 16 again you can decide to use the ritual again.

sterilize him lol

also you can imprison your baby, make them guilty and execute them for 0 mood loss. Great for keeping the numbers low when needed.

bruh, I could have 1000% fertility and I would still have 0 babies by the 5th year. My pawns just can't live with each other. Might be related to my brutal gameplay though...
