The best game seeds for beginners anyone?
I have the base game only, but no DLC and it's been over 4+ years since I last played this game. My settings are 50% world size, all factions turned on, and using easy story settings. I spent well over 60 minutes just trying to locate a good spot to start on that it felt frustrating. What happened to this game?

Are there no good seeds for beginner anymore?

What a good seed is depends on what you're going for. You could always give https://steamcommunity.com/sharedfiles/filedetails/?id=2839151249 a try with the parameters you're looking for.

Works on my machine. You enabled the mod and its prereqs?

Seed isn’t going to matter.

The SeedFinder mod doesn't state that it's dependent on two other mods which it should before a person decides to use it. I got it running now. Thanks
It probably should link them in the sidebar, but its modinfo is set up to list hugslib as a prereq, which has harmony as a prereq, so the game should still warn you that things are missing.

Or you can use World Edit 2.0 and force any seed to give you what you are looking for.

Best seed is 2Girls1Cup (Don't look that up) with maximum rainfall and other options left alone. Atleast, In terms of appearance.

The map seed isn't really going to help you, but knowing what the tile actually looks like beforehand will:

I get that you want a cool tile, but you might try what I usually do and just pick random and then caravan around until you find one to your liking. Caravanning is a lot better than it was. It’s pretty easy when the colony is small.

The seed only affect how the world is shaped. Actually playing the game is not going to matter. A map is generated once you open a map and not before. So it is not really connected to a seed. It is more a matter of where you start and what other towns and roads you got around you so you can trade.

Maps are connected to the seed, as the seedfinder mod demonstrates.

You need the mod to see the map layout of the location you select, and you should also select a forest type climate with tons of wood for easy building ASAP, and ensure the temperature is around 70ish degrees to 80+. Try to keep it nice and cool normally as much as you can.

Once that's done, should be really really easy on the easiest difficulty.

OR.

It's likely you just need to re-learn certain game mechanics.
