black screen - omg tynan why??

game was fine yesterday and now when i try to start it i just get a black screen
has this happened to any1 else?

Check which of your mods have updated most recently. It's possible such a mod update has caused something wonky.

ok i just disable all mods and im still getting a black screen

Not since the 1.5 modpocalypse, what usually caused this for me before most of the mods broke was rocketman combined with EPOE. After playing far enough into the game the game would get swallowed by a black void.

ive updated video card drivers
ive restarted my computer
ive deleted appdata Ludeon Studios folder
i still get a black screen??
i dont get it. the game was working fine yesterday

go to your directory where the savegames are saves, there should be a config folder there is a modconfig.txt file, delete it

other wise check your computer for maleware

why the ♥♥♥♥ does the game load INACTIVE mods??????
ive lost everything. saves. settings. mods. wiped everything out and started from scratch just to learn that a small INACTIVE mod was causing the black screen?
why is the game even looking at a mod thats inactive? WHY?

^This little mod was causing the black screens??? how when it was inactive?? INAVTIVE.
i deleted it and rewrote it the same way again and now it seems to work. so no idea what was wrong with it before. BUTT if moving it to the inactive list stopped the black screens then figuring out it was this mod doing it would of been easy.

To me it seems that your DLC or Core files are corrupted. No one else is having this issue so its not a game issue. its a user side issue. only game issue im having is a memory leak. but thats due to a mod being slutty.

I have the same problem. I debugged half a day and there is no ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ logic in it. Sometimes it loads then I add a mod blackscreen, then I remove that mod again, still blackscreen...

When I downgrade to 1.4 the Game loads fine...

No, I just gave up. ♥♥♥♥ like that happened in a earlier Version before and it was a bug in the Game.

Something is seriously ♥♥♥♥♥♥ up in the 1.5 Update.

Seems right, blame the game creator for the fault of a mod.

It is the fault of Ludeon since the Mods work fine on 1.4. The Blackscreen Problem is not new, this happened before and we had to wait for a Patch to fix it. It wasn't the fault of Mods there either.
