Proximity Detector LoS required?
Anyone know for sure if the proximity detector detects through walls? I assume it does but haven't truly tested

It does not require los but do be aware it only detects it doesn't reveal much to my annoyance. You'll know something is in the radius but not necessarily have any way to actually deal with it.

Ah ok. I thought it caught those shades but only recently noticed that they are revealed even without

It's still pretty good for detecting revenants and grouping up all pawns when you detect one so they can be killed before fleeing or turning invisible, which is when it becomes a pain to deal with. Putting one proximity detector at every base entrance can prevent a lot of issues.

It does. It's mainly useful against sightstealers, put a proximity detector with its range encompassing a fence maze and not only will you know when they're coming, you'll have time to prepare and you'll know exactly when the raid stops because the proximity thing will stop beeping when no one's stuck in the maze anymore.

It's pretty useless against revenants because they tend to use backdoors to enter the colony and if you don't have a sensor per door you'll probably never see the rev coming

I really wish the proximity detector let you know where the alarm got triggered so you know where the invisible entity is. Or even better if it got visibly revealed after the proximity alarm gets triggered.
