Problem with bookcases and books - are they currently bugged?

I am playing with new DLC and 1.5 patch. Love QOL improvements (like clearing the room and mine everything). However I haven't been playing with the main new content - I just started a new colony few hours ago.

So, new content - I love it in theory, but the first things I've actually encountered in the game (books inside bookcase) - hmm, not sure if it is working as intended...

I just purchased my first books from exotic books trader. Build two bookcases - one in the main dining/rec room and one in research room. So, my pawn dragged two books (bonus to recreating to the closest bookcase in the lab. After checking how reading recreational book works (pawn grabs it and runs to the rec room to sit and read forever) - I naturally wanted to have that book next to the table in rec room (nice environment, et cetera).

However after 10 minutes of trying I was completely unable to move books from one book case to another. :(((
The UI for content seems to be super simple - just a basic version of any zone content, with only 4 types of books. However even when I disable all 4 types of book in one bookcase (the one that holds them atm) and enable them in the other - pawns when ordered to haul content runs to the bookcase but does nothing 0 he runs back empty handed. I can remove books from bookcase move them to regular stockpile zone (if I enable books there) - but NOT to another bookcase (the one in the rec room where I want to store my recreational books).

Need help! Either it is a bug (but it is such stupid obvious bug - how could it possibly slip through testers??? Or is it a weird and very counter-intuitive feature? Like perhaps you are NOT allowed to have books in the rec room after you build bookcase with books next to your research station? But if so - why??? And why game give you no indicator. And besides pawns DP run to the bookcase when ordered to haul content - but do nothing. So maybe a bug after all?

I have also noticed that unless I drop them out of the bookcase, my colonists can't load them onto a transport pod. This definetly feels like a bug.
