all anomaly does is rail road the player and over saturate the game with silly events
just a really bad dlc. going to require a lot of mods and setting tweaking in order to be worth playing at all.
To prevent your pawns that have been taken by the cube from going berserk when you destroy the cube, put the infected pawns under anaesthesia, then destroy the cube. They'll wake and be back to normal.
Actually this is the one event I don't like because you get nothing out of it. At least with the pylons you can get a nice little thing for your colony, or you know, if it works. But the cube, it's a lot of bother for nothing and the ending was anticlimactic.
