Colored wall lights after 1.5?

Just had my first look after 1.5. and of course all wall lights disappeared (from the mod). So building new wall lights from the game itself, I am really disappointed. You can't change the color and they are way darker than I am used to.
Questions: Are there mods with which I can change the color? And why am I not being able to select/remove/relocate the ingame wall lights I already installed?

im pretty sure there is new "advanced lights" research which unlock coloring and halves energy cost (not for sunlamp)

wall lights are vanilla. colorability is locked behind "advanced lights" which also unlocks the flood lights. given color is a mode it wont show up in the unlocks of said tech but is mentioned in its description

OK, just had a look and I already researched "Advanced Lights". Description of it says color changing is available when researched but well, it is not.
I should mention I'm playing a pre 1.5 savegame. The thing is - I can't select the wall lights when clicking them.

EDIT: OK, figured out that you can't directly click on the lights - you have to click a few pixels in front of them. Or at least I have to.
I was now able to change colors, but the intensity is very stale and faint.
Sad.
