no need to invest into everything at once.
you can ignore royalty and anomaly for the most part. leaving you with the equivalent of a full price title IF you really wanna get your hand on DLCs right away.
ideology and biotech are the big players in this.
one thing to note here though - paradox is a publisher and ludeon self published. its a completly different enviroment
its is quite costly to get the entirety of RW at once and can be a very steep learning curve when youre a new player. youre not missing out of anything by getting the DLCs later.
the game just has that much replayability to justify getting them later.
given we live in times where you pay up to 10 bucks for a single set of skins(sometimes even just 1) RW DLCs provide high value.
in regards to potential playtime they still fall in line with tradtional game expansions albeit on the pricey side for the average player.
I'm not one to buy paradox games nor dlcs, so having to compare Rimworld in general with it is a red flag.
