Can't accept Noble guest quest, please help.

So I'm trying to accept this quest that requires me to host a Baron for a while to gain some honor.

I can't for the life of me figure out why it's not letting me, I checked the bedroom requirements like 30 times.
I started using godmode (after saving) to try different things before the quest timer runs out and nothing is working. I even made a fancy throne room that should meet their requirements, and have a seperate, baron-level bedroom ready for their guard.

Still isn't working.

That looks like regular carpet. Higher ranking nobles want all fine tiled, which means swapping that floor out for fine stone or the horribly expensive fine carpet. Easy enough to try using god mode.

Specific room requirements for baron:

Area 60, Impressiveness 120, Grand Throne, all fine floored, Brazier x2, Column x4, Drape x2, Harpsichord
Piano suffices, All braziers must be lit, Room must be roofed.

So I tried it with a pimped-out throne room (which the quest doesn't even demand) and redid the floor with fine marble tile and then with fine red carpet.

Still isn't working.

Of course, there is one obvious thing your big room there doesn't have.

A bed.

You're hosting the dude for however many days, he's gonna want somewhere to sleep ;p The two rooms in the other picture probably aren't going to satisfy a baron's requirements. Try sticking a bed in the big room and see if that works.

Ok I tried that: stuffing a bed, endtable and dresser in the throne/rec room and the quest still won't work.

The two "small" rooms are both 41 free tiles (requirement is for 30), and I've tried it with taking down the separating wall/other bedroom and have it being like 75 tiles and still wasn't working.

A baron title bedroom needs: Area 30, Impressiveness 70, all floored, Royal bed, End table, Dresser, Drape

Did you make sure it was a 'royal bed'?

Also they don't need a throne room. You just need to fulfill their bedroom request.

If you click on the quest, it should tell you what you are missing.

My guess is the bedrooms aren't impressive enough due to the stacks of things on the floors each making it ugly by a considerable amount.

You need 2 rooms for him: throne room and bedroom, each with it's own requirements. When you fulfill them quest will become acceptable. People above wrote exact requirements for both rooms, and bed need to be unassigned (vacant) obviously.
And you installed end tables wrong, they won't be counted. You need to install it at the side of the bed.

I don't think they need a throne room. I just had a baron visit my colony and they didn't need a throne room iirc. I did have one but it was only good enough for a knight, not for a baron so it wouldn't have counted.

They did need a meditation spot tho.

Maybe you are right, also if you have colonists with titles and their requirements are not fulfilled, you can't accept quest until all your colonist's with titles have fulfilled requirements.

For throne room:

Double check those statues.

You also cannot have content from some of the other expansions, it tells you which. Room also can't have any work facilities, unclear if any of those items are work stations. Room cannot also be the temple, so no altars etc.

Room also cannot have any beds.

For bedroom:

Ya, the end table needs to be directly adjacent to the pillows. Either side.
Also, yes, all those stacks of stuff are ugly, if you check the room stats it should tell you the room impressiveness. I recommend adding a nice statue or something.
E.G. Jade walls. door, dresser, end table, would be very spectacular, and, most importantly, non-flammable!

Floor has to be fine floor. I strongly recommend fine stone if acquirable. Anything that is flammable is brutal to all the hard work put in to build the place.
