Why is it more than twice the price in Australia?
Aussie dollar is 63c American, but the price difference is huge. Why so much extra in Australia? It's currently $15 USD on sale, but it's $36 AUD on sale. That's somewhat prohibitive, nearing low level AAA, while the USA price is almost "month old early access" price.

Taxes and ♥♥♥♥♥♥. Also Australia had this game banned for awhile so maybe they're upcharging because of that

Weird. The difference is staggering. I'm pretty sure I bought it (before the ban in AU) for $15 AUD. Was about to buy 3 copies for friends, but at this price, not even one.

edit: If it's because "Australians have more spending power" or something, that's actually very incorrect. We're not doing well at all and most of the country is controlled by mining interests that hoard wealth so it looks like we're doing better than we are. We're headed for destruction and they still bring in 500,000 people a year into a country of only 26 million, it's all falling apart from there.

Of course, I have hundreds of hours on it. It would be a better trick to lure people in with a lower base price and then have them salivate for the DLC.
Where did you find it for 15 USD? I'm looking at steamDB right now and it says it's 28 USD on sale

not in the US it isn't
It's $28 in the US according steam db.

It's 15 dollars if you are in LATAM (latin-america) and using dollars to pay.

The Australian price hasn't been lower than AUD$36 for over 2 years which is closer to $23 US.

I can convincingly say that you have it wrong. It's actually cheaper in Australia than it is in the USA

So, it is true that everything tries to kill you in Australia, even the prices.

Yeah, SteamDB has the price in the US right, and its own built-in comparisons say that it's 18.84% cheaper in AU than in the US. The only places more expensive than the US (and not by as much as it is cheaper in AU) are Israel, Poland, the UK, and Switzerland.

Any chance they have regional pricing for inside the USA as well? I have an American mate who sent me a screenshot and it's 15 for him. But he lives in a rural town in a "rural state" so to speak.

Nope. The name-in-game thing is $15, but that's the only thing that's $15.
