What are you looking for in particular for a high tech faction though? High tech raids Rim-Elves does a better job then the empire imo. Squads in full Excellent quality gear, power armour, ultratech and high tech weapons. They do mix in often naked tribal level chaff with the more normal equipment ranges to screen for their elite infantry. It's like fighting player pawns with chaff support. Very interesting. Dunno what they actually sell as half the reason I run the mod is the raids, very interesting genes too of course but the factions and raids are great.
Ouch. Yeah, that sounds like exactly the stuff I would like to avoid. I might just stick to the rimsenal weapon / xenotype mods then.
To answer your qeustion: yes, I'm mostly looking for a faction that can provide challanging (but somewhat "fair") raids towards the endgame. If that mod includes new weapons / armor / xenotypes, all the better.
Interesting, I actually added Rim-Elves to my modlist already. Didn't know they actually added that much of a challenge. Good to know and thanks for the reply.
