Is there a way i can make pawns automatically grab better clothing
They are wearing tattered clothes. I want them to automatically take what is better.
And ive set up a way to destroy old low quality clothes

Check the "Allocation" tab. You probably let them grab clothing at the beginning. That makes that clothing "forced" to wear for them.
In the Tab you can remove that forced wear and they will grab better clothing. They always strife to take the best clothing, when their clothing goes under a certain treshold.
Just set clothing health limits in your apparel policies. Can also do it for quality so no one is wearing normal or good junk.

Unless you aren't producing a set of apparel with full coverage, pawns should almost never prefer tattered clothes over normal ones, and when they do go for the tattered it should be obvious why. They're pretty smart about what they choose to auto-wear, to the point I've actually stopped setting clothing policies. If they grab something tattered, just make something with similar coverage and they should swap it out pretty quickly, unless it's some legendary-quality armor or something you're trying to replace with a cloth duster (poor).

Tattered clothes aren't "worse" than full health cloths aside from the potential mood hit, there's no difference in defense or insulation. If they are still wearing it on their own it's probably "better" than whatever else you have available.

If you have VE Memes there's also a precept for "tattered clothes: don't mind" (tied to the scrapper meme) which means colonists will not automatically swap out items of the same quality just for higher durability, and will instead typically just wear things until they disintegrate unless you force them to change in their apparel policy.

My pawns have sky high expectations and mood swings are very important at this stage, so i want to get rid of anything that upsets them. soo,

yes, appreciate all the comments
Sell all your used clothes so only brand new ones are available.
This is the setting you want in their "Apparel Policies": https://steamcommunity.com/sharedfiles/filedetails/?id=3415032565

Just make sure they always have replacement clothes available to switch into, also note that it doesn't effect any forced equipment (if you tell them to wear something).

they actualy do that 24/7 without you doing anything.. if there are better things to equip (not armor mind you) they will do so. Armor you have to force on them, they wont take one if its inferrior in beauty and element protection (aka heat and cold protect).
