How to unlock the "unknown" in the Anomaly research tree?

I just started playing Anomaly DLC and on the research tree I have unlocked everything that it will allow me to but it still shows unknown. What do I have to do to make it known? I've tried everything. I copied the link to my Anomaly research tree,

You unlock anomaly research by running into the anomaly that unlocks said research. You can do void provocations to trigger anomalies manually.

Note that some anomalies seem to require you to have enough pawns.

Garatah has it right, a majority of the researches unlock when you meet the appropriate anomaly. No need to study that anomaly at all, just meet them.
