Getting rid of 'Frail'
I don't have any dlc, and it doesn't seem like anything I can do will work. So .. is the a mod that will do this?

I realise I can look for mods on my own. I'm asking for experience, not a 'let me google that for you' response =)

I want something that does the least to otherwise change the game.

Dev mode or Character Editor mod are the best ways to alter a characters Traits.

Let me google that for you: https://rimworldwiki.com/wiki/Ailments#Frail
The vanilla base-game options that require no change to the game are healer mech serum and luciferium.

Luciferium is the answer to most age-related issues. It does mean you'll have to dedicate silver to keep a steady stock, but if the pawn's valuable it might be worth it, especially since it also makes him overpowered

If you want mods, EPOE usually tends to fix anything, I'm not sure I saw something regarding frail torso but it's still your best bet

Oh, right, yes. And ressurection, as far as I know. But I've waited for one of those for ages, and ... well, I have a guy on ice too, he got shot in the head, and not in the good, it'll get better with time kinda way.

No, I pretty much meant: Is there a mod.

I'm not going anywhere near luciferium, and serums are taking to long to wait for.

Thanks - I looked up EPOE, but it seems way too invasive for my basically puritan views. I guess I'll simply use dev mode to cure him. Meh. Or grab EPOE, and be a hypocrite. One or the other.

I like to try and adhere to Rimworld's vanilla feel as closely as possible, and I used to really like DE Surgeries. It adds a bunch of new surgeries to fix ailments that previously didn't have good fixes, such as losing fingers. IIRC, there should be a surgery to cure frailty, too.

Oohh - that's valuable input.

For fingers, I just scrap the arm and strap on a bionic. But the guy with Frail already has a bionic spine for other reasons, and since that doesn't fix it, well, nothing does.

But my primary constructionist can't be an old cripple. So - DE surgeries, you say? I'll check it out.
