Bug? "Must Defeat a mechoid cluster"

Hi. I had some mech units crash land in my home turf. I took them out, but there is a ship part saying "I must defeat a mech cluster before you can deconstruct". well... didn't I just take out the mech cluster? Not sure how to continue. Feels like a bug. Any advice?

That message is incorrect on ship parts. Ship parts can't be deconstructed. You have to target it with weapons to destroy it.
Other things that drop with mechs, like walls, barricades, and nodes, can be deconstructed once the hostiles are gone, but the ship part can't.

The ship parts are part of the mechanoid cluster. If you did not destroy those yet, the mech cluster is still not defeated and you do not get the message/mood buff for defeating it.
