Cannot Turn Off Anomaly Anymore
I used to be able to turn off the 1.5 Anomaly during my modded games, but can no longer do so. Why? I don't really fight undead/zombie ♥♥♥♥ because I really dislike all of that crap and not into it, at all. I like being able to turn off some features I don't like and still be able to enjoy the game, but NOT being able to turn it off, really makes me not want to play.

So what gives? Why can I no longer turn off this crappy 1.5 anymore?

You just go into the mod manager and click anomaly off. Could also probably just set the raid percentage for anomaly raids to 0 as well.

Its not there to turn off. I don't see it in the Mod List, AT ALL. And that's the thing, it used to be there for me to remove it from my Mod List, but now it isn't there anywhere. Neither side. Its literally on by default and I cannot remove it.

I'm not here to plea down the usual list... but i am so used to it from another forum...

have you verified the game files?
have you verified and reload the mod manager files?

is there anything that could revoke your read/write privileagues to the files the game and the mod manager share?

your MM not seen vanilla files indicates that something isn't registering a base DLC.

I don't use a MM, aside from the game that you see in the image. I never have. I've always sorted them myself and have had occasional issues, that I have figured out through discussion, like this one. So never have needed a MM.

As for game files, I can re-run the verifier but have never had an issue with verification before, in the .. 6 (?) years playing the game. I'll report back but I based on previous results (I do run verification quite often on my games), I don't think it'll return anything but, never say never, right?

It found 1 unverified file, so I stand corrected good si... ehhh, person! However, it did not make the Anomaly library re-appear. So the Anomaly file is still missing and is still acting as if it was active in the game.

Anyone know what's going on here?
Unless you copied anomaly into the base game files it will be separately installed. Verifying the cache would duplicate it if that is what had happened though as that doesn't check for files that shouldn't exist in the folder.

The problem is, that when loading, it literally says that core library, from 1.5, Anomaly, is NOT installed. So if it is NOT installed, and its NOT in the mod library, or even if it doesn't exist, it should NOT be creating events from that part of the game. But it is. So why is it doing that?
Then you copied Anomaly into the core files, or one of the other DLC folders. Only way what you are describing could be happening.

"Darkening Terror" is not Anomaly, it's a Medieval Overhaul event.

........... say what now?

Son of a ...... *deep sigh*

Not once have I ever seen this, and I've used MO on 3 playthroughs now. Is it possible to turn it off?

I don't know, I've never used the mod. Usually you can disable specific events in the scenario settings, or using the Incident Tweaker mod.

I just hadn't heard of that event before and googled it and only found references to MO. I think it's based on Unnatural Darkness from Anomaly, but it replaces the name and enemies with it's own thing to be more "medieval" and it sounds like it's not checking for the DLC to do so.

Nope, just looked. There is no option to turn it off. This is crap and turns me off to using this mod ... and i LIKE MO too. Damnit. Ok, thanks for that info. Just jarred me because I've never seen it before and I honestly do not like the eerie, creepy, nightmare stuff. I find it to be ridiculous and it throws it into another genre, that quite honestly, is way overblown at this point.
