which mod do i need to play multiplayer with a friend and what are some good mp mods to use?

Not sure what mods are good but the mod you need for multiplayer is called mutiplayer.

Thanks beggar that mod is called Multiplayer and is the one you need did not know how to do the workshop link.

Read the description of the Multiplayer mod. It tells you everything you need to know, but I'll tell you that it does support many mods. You'll be able to check which mods are compatible or not, make sure you pick up the "Multiplayer Compatibility" mod as well to make it work better with other mods

multiplayer compatibility mod doesnt add mp function? that why maybe i was confused. is it easy to install and play with friend on multiplayer mod? i dont know PORT stuff and that stuff how to setup it. and i dont have access to my router settings.

The compatibility mod just helps the original Multiplayer mod work better with other mods at the same time. You should use both "Multiplayer" and "Multiplayer Compatibility" together so it works with more mods

The Multiplayer mod works with the Steam multiplayer services. You can play with people just by inviting them through Steam, you don't need to worry about the ports and stuff if you want to play with someone on your friends list.

Here's a video that shows you how simple it is to set up. Just make sure you check all of the mods you're using, there are a handful of mods that will break the multiplayer game.

Make sure you go into the mod settings when you're in-game so you can change the username you use
