Best performance biome?
Is there such a thing? my worst enemy here is the lag on endgame, I usually just start over because of the lag

Is there any biome which have a better performance to set up bases?
I thought of desert but didn't see to be the case

Ice sheet perhaps?

reduce map size, burn dead people (this include smelt/destoy mechs), and reduce number of animals particularly helps.
cold arid biome might work too because rain can slow down performance

There is a noticeable difference between rainforest/swamp and desert or extreme desert, but biome is not generally a major factor in "endgame" TPS issues. A more "temperate" extreme desert is typically the best biome to play on for performance though, there are basically no wild plants or animals, but the temperatures don't have to be so extreme to alter how you play or slow things down with snow everywhere. Ice sheet or sea ice isn't quite as good because snow on the ground does have a small hit to performance.

"Endgame lag" is generally only going to be solved by fixing the mods causing it, or playing on map sizes and population levels your PC can handle though. An extreme desert can help, but it's not a magic fix for the other issues.

Yeah, I am trying lots of small fixes, I have a high modded game, already filtered some mods, but still trying each bit to improve performance

Tundra and ice sheet, using map designer and intentionally setting it to 0.3x animals at the most helps out immensely. Also turning off wind sway on plants helps. Not using frameworks for mods also works out a lot, run performance optimizer, rocketman and performance fish. PF's on a github made by the dubs performance guys that make bad hygiene, rimatomics and rimefeller if that makes you feel any better about considering looking it up. Keep your modlists at 350 or less, and intentionally strip things out you're not actually using. Ask yourself if you're ever going to genuinely be playing with something or not, remove it if you aren't or don't remember running it. It's a process, take your time with it. Setting Rimpy up and using it for this makes it a lot easier as well, if you haven't been doing that yet.

Just checking but those mods include rocket man and performance optimiser right? And they're both at the end of your mod list and you've run adaptive mode for half hour?

Just saying because this usually works like magic for me. and I also have a big mod list XD

I had to remove performance optimiser a long ago, because it was incompatible with something that I don't remember, I never tired to put it back, I will try that...

That is my modlist:

EDIT: Just added performance optimizer and It has a bug that some of my pawns after drafted cannot be undrafted (R doesn't work, buttons don't show)
