The only toxic build up I know of in the game is Fallout events, in which case you just need to keep people under roofs.
You could try putting people inside and see if it helps
It's knocked out half my colony, and only one of the has no symptoms.
Sources of toxic build up unmodded are toxic fallout, toxic spewers, cobra bites, and venom fangs/talons. I've never seen an NPC with venom fangs/talons, and those and cobra bites tend to do more physical damage than toxic damage and your colonists don't look hurt. Spewers and fallout would be listed on the right of the screen. So ya I don't know what's causing that, looks like you have a bunch of other mods though. I see something that looks like a chemical vial in your resource list and on your character's action bar, are they drinking something from some mod that causes toxic buildup, like some sort of drug?
there's a special zombie called a toxic splasher which generates toxic goo on the ground when they die.
The vial on the action bar is to enable auto extract serum samples from zombies. 100 are required to make an actual serum. I only just started playing with this mod, but if you actually read the mod settings, the different zombie types are all listed with a description for each
Eventually all but one of my colonists were bedridden at the time of the next horde, with the one remaining facing off over 50 zombies all on his own.
There were no traps or auto turrets yet built, so it was a wipe. It's great how things go from bad to very bad to catastrophic, so very quickly.
Reminds me of Dwarf Fortress
